LOLER 98 Examinations

By law any lifting equipment must be inspected in accordance with the LOLER regulations. These regular inspections and maintenance must be carried out by a competent person, in order to meet these regulations. Moreable’s qualified field service engineers carry out these inspections as part of our core service

P.U.W.E.R

PUWER requires that equipment provided for use at work is suitable for the intended requirements, safe for use, maintained in a good condition and inspected to ensure it is correctly installed and does not subsequently deteriorate

Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998

These regulations, often abbreviated to PUWER place duties on individuals and companies who own, operate or have control over work equipment. PUWER also places responsibilities on businesses and organisations whose employees use work equipment, whether owned or not.

The routine upkeep of equipment and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), are essential in reducing the chance of equipment failure and in limiting potential problems and accidents. Our Servicing, when conducted regularly, will help to prolong the operational life of your equipment, helping to ensure it is ready when you need it.

Routine Maintenance

Routine maintenance often know as P,P,M (planned, preventative maintenance)  is sometimes seen as “not necessary” or a service that we could stop to save money! The truth is exactly the opposite, a maintained item will far out last an item that never receives adjustment and lubrication, if this is a item like a hoist then renewing it a few years earlier due to poor maintenance would have already paid for the planned servicing. Also a maintained item will break down far less saving you the greater expense of emergency call outs and more importantly ensuring the equipment is there when you need it.
